Disney shouldn’t be pleased. Round one went to Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 over Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King.

Mufasa opened this past weekend to underwhelming box office numbers. According to BoxOfficeMojo.com, the film earned $35 million domestically, and $87.2 million internationally, for an opening global weekend take of $122.2 million. That was below expectations.
